Goofy2Goofy2.com is an interesting new website for users to conveniently share thoughts. Sound familiar? Yes, Twitter is such a tool.
Actually, when you log in Goofy2, it may remind you of Twitter. Because just similar to Twitter, Goofy2 also use a small input box for you to enter your ideas in limited words. But on Goofy2, you can also attach a link to a multimedia file, such as a mp3, a video and images. To encourage better interaction among users, Goofy2 let people have various ways to respond to your updates besides comments, for example, they can “cheer” you, “hug” you, or express that they have the same thought as you. Goofy2 also automatically find out related thought by other users.
However, unlike Twitter, you can only update messages on Goofy2’s website so far, though the support of IM bot and mobile phone might already be planned. Even after rolling out the IM bot, the feature of various response can still be performed on website, I guess.
The comparison of Goofy2 and Twitter? I think I still favor Twitter a lot, if we don’t consider its performance problems recently. Yes, Twitter is simple, and doesn’t have many fancy features as other similar services. But simplicity is just the power of Twitter. The simplicity of Twitter enables efficient and straightforward information delivery and communication across platforms and in real time. Goofy2 is targeting similar but somewhat different demands, it can still learn a lot from experience of Twitter.

高飞和Twitter都允许用户发布一个短文本，但这几乎是两个产品唯一相似的地方。
高飞独特之处在于它的架构师一个可以成长的树形机构，在高飞的发布的一个想法，像种子一样发芽、成长、繁荣成为一棵树、甚至一个森林。当发布一个想法后，跟贴的数量是没有限制的，甚至跟贴也可以被再跟贴。但一个讨论永不结束，同时又大量的用户可以一路上给有趣的东西加标签并且保存的时候，魔术发生了，人们自由地谈话，采摘有趣的东西——通过保存和标签，这创造了某种群众智慧或者人工智能。
人们实际上开始一起思考。
一个“我现在觉得不错”的想法可能发展成火箭科技的讨论。没错，话题是改变了，但改变话题不正是谈话的乐趣吗？你手里没有大纲，想到哪里说到哪里。
这就是我把高飞叫做社会思维导图的原因所在。实际上某些高飞用户声称高飞是他们所见到过的最好的思维导图工具，甚至比FreeMind还好。
至于高飞的富媒体分享支持，又给了高飞一点娱乐特色，人们喜欢在高飞上玩，因为他们享受这种乐趣，而且是为了他们自己做。但是，这些人一起玩的结果是——创造了某种群体智慧和高质量的内容。
这不仅仅是革命性的，而且很好玩。谁不喜欢音乐和视频呢？什么软件比高飞能更好地分享音乐视频，同时和朋友谈话呢？
Both Goofy2 and Twitter let users to publish short text content. But that is almost the only thing that looks similar in the two products.
What makes G2 different is the tree architecture that grows. An idea on G2 is like a seed that sprouts, grows and finally flourishes into a tree, then a jungle. When an idea is posted, unlimited number of comments can be followed. When a discussion never ends and a large number of users can tag and save interesting stuff along the way. Magic happens, people talk freely and pick up goodies by saving and tagging, it creates some kind of mob-intelligence or AI:
People actually think together.
An “I am feeling good now” update may end up discussion about rocket science. Yes, the subjects have been changed, but isn’t it the fun of conversation to have the freedom of changing subjects?. You don’t have an outline and you let loose the conversation as it develops, or, wanders.
This is what I mean why G2 is a social mind-mapping tool. Actually some G2 users call it the best mind-mapping tool that they have ever seen, even better than FreeMind.
As for rich media sharing on G2 page, it gives G2 some entertaining twist, people love what they do on G2, because they do it for fun and themselves. But all users work together to produce a mass mob intelligence and quality content.
It is not only revolutionary but also fun. Who does not like music and end video? What other services make enjoying and sharing music so easy?
I must say I was excited to read Kashgar’s description of G2. Working as a strategist, I am constantly looking for new ways to engage with others in creative conversation…to share and create knowledge. G2 seems to be tailored for that. I can’t wait for G2 to be available in english.
